This division is the
integral part of the company's activities
and has been continually strengthening its
capabilities to serve national and international
operating companies in the upstream oilfield
market better. In the last year, Drilling
& Workover division has built long-term
relationships with major oil service companies,
developing the market for its partners in
diverse application areas.

|
The Drilling & Workover
division is now moving into new opportunity
areas in the oilfield services sector such
as cementing, stimulation, coiled tubing
and under-balanced drilling. A significant
factor in the Drilling & Workover division's
success is its people. It has been able
to retain a team of expert professionals
with technical, sales, marketing and service
skills. The staff has extensive experience
and in-depth knowledge of the UAE market
and beyond, and with the ongoing commitment
to training and quality, they bring extra
dimension needed for the customers. The
UAE remains a key market for the division
but envisions greater potential regionally
for its products and services. The division
aims to develop the business throughout
the Middle East, working closely with existing
partners, but also seeking new partners
for the markets opening up.

|
Technology in the drilling
and production sector has brought drilling
costs down rapidly since 1980's and this
trend will continue. The future remains
in areas such as slim well design using
expandable tubing, under-balanced drilling,
smaller drilling rigs, smart wells and environmental
technologies. The Drilling & Workover division
will continue to develop the existing markets
but also seek to position the company to
take advantage of the developing technologies
in the years to come...
